ITINERARY:
CAIRO & SAINT CATHERINE (5 DAYS TOTAL)
DAY 1: CAIRO Arrival at the airport. Assistance upon arrival by your Taba Travel representative at the airport. Transfer to the hotel, our representative will register you at your hotel. Night in Cairo.
DAY 2: CAIRO Breakfast at your hotel, our representative will introduce you to the guide who will share with you an incredible experience. Head out to visit the famous Great Pyramids of Giza belonging to the pharaohs Cheops, Khefren and Mikerinos, where you will enter the area of the pyramids and touch them to feel their greatness. (Optional entry into one of the pyramids). We then continue to the Valley temple of Khefren, where the Pharaoh himself was mummified before entering his pyramid. Then we pass the magnificent Sphinx. Then we will visit the papyrus institute to learn how the ancient Egyptians created paper and then visit a center of essences especially of the famous and sacred lotus flower. Visit the famous Egyptian Museum, which houses an impressive collection of antiquities from the Ancient Egyptians and you will discover much of the country's ancient past and be visually amazed by the wealth of artifact on display. Overnight at your hotel in Cairo.
DAY 3: CAIRO Breakfast at your hotel. Free day. (possibility of optional excursions like Alexandria, Coptic Cairo and Islamic Cairo, check the quick tours and day trips section for ideas).
DAY 4: CAIRO / SAINT CATHERINE Breakfast at the hotel and departure to Saint Catherine crossing the Suez Canal. Arrival to Saint Catherine. We will spend the night at the hotel in Saint Catherine. Dinner at the hotel.
DAY 5: SAINT CATHERINE Breakfast at the hotel. At dawn, we will head to Mount Sinai and visit the monastery of Saint Catherine, where you will witness the Sacred Shrub and the Wells of Moses. Then go to visit the Saint Catherine monastery, dedicated to one of Alexandria's governors, Saint Catherine. Among its treasures is a library of ancient manuscripts and icons. Inside is the El-Mouta church (the church of the dead). Then head to the Taba border. The end of the trip.
